About this Project
Garretts Hall in Shalford is a grade 2 listed farm house situated 4 miles from the Essex town of Braintree. The project consisted of a double storey extension and link, which was built using traditional green oak frame methods, chestnut lathes with lime render over. To the rear of the property a further solid oak Orangery extension was built with a traditional cellar. Most of the original features were retained to keep the property’s charming period look intact.
